Your creative system is like a product that needs iteration and testing. It's not a matter of "if" but "how fast" you can iterate.
The algorithm doesn't care about the quality of your video, it only cares about the engagement it receives.
What's the #1 reason your creatives don't perform as well as they should? I'll go first: You're not iterating enough. You need to keep iterating and testing new versions of your creatives.
Don't just look at your own creatives. Look at the ones that are already working for others. Then, make them better.
What to look for when analyzing UGC creatives: - Relatable - Emotionally charged - High contrast - Unique angles - Simplicity
The big 3 of what makes a creative successful: 1. Attention: Does it stop the scroll? 2. Interest: Does it make them want to learn more? 3. Desire: Does it make them want to buy or take action?
The 3 steps to scaling ads faster: 1. Test the same video but with different hooks, intros and CTAs 2. Take the best performing video and create 3-5 new versions of it 3. Repeat step 2 until the CPA starts to increase Simple, but powerful.
You can write the most persuasive and compelling ad in the world. But if the creative doesn't grab attention, it's worthless.
How to create better creatives: 1. Use curiosity hooks 2. Leverage attention grabbing patterns 3. Make your video look like user generated content 4. Add real people and real products to your ads 5. Tell stories in your videos
Your ad creative should be a mirror for your target audience, not a window into your company. This is the only way to make them stop scrolling.
Advertising is a numbers game. The more you test, the better you get. The better you get, the more you win.
Don't just look for the best performing ad. Look for the best performing theme. You'll notice that some videos always work better than others. And you can create variations of that theme to keep scaling.
Easiest way to improve your ads? Watch them muted. If you don't understand what's happening without sound, no one else will either.
The best way to generate ideas for your ads? 1. Go to Amazon and read the 1-2 star reviews of your product 2. Write down the most common complaints 3. Use this in your ad angles
When it comes to UGC, don't be afraid to make it worse. Some of the best UGC is raw, unedited, and not influenced by the brand. It's less "perfect" but more relatable and authentic.
How to always have great creatives: - Have a process for creative research - Analyze UGC creatives for performance and iterations - Optimize existing and historical creatives - Use fresh and new ideas
Don't take it personal. Your ad's performance is an objective feedback on how to improve your work. Don't get attached to your ideas. Embrace the feedback.
The best way to learn is to learn from those who are already doing what you want to do. Same goes for scaling your brand. Learn from the best. So you don't have to figure it out on your own.
