One of my favorite things to do is tour old buildings with redevelopment potential. This is an old downtown hotel in rural Kansas. Hopefully we make a deal here and I can share more about it in the future.
Our project in Hays (3 stories) is putting an elevator in a vertical stack of old bathrooms. Thankfully, it’s already (mostly) a fire rated shaft. Before and during pictured below. After photos coming 11 months from now. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Closed on our primary construction loan today for the Frontier Apartments Project in Hays,KS. 12 unit historic tax credit deal. Lots of challenges getting to this point including a significant appraisal gap to fill, major construction cost inflation, interest rate hikes, etc.
