@RyanHoliday @RyanHoliday Just curious, but is there anywhere I can view a list of the books that have been banned?

@philosopher70 Okay, I don't meant to be pushy. Just thought I'd offer one that could help. I inhaled too much in 2023 because I was uninformed. I'm hoping this clears up soon.

@BPatriotism @Liberty17768 @YourAnonNews Well, then this is just semantics. In practice, people who identify as capitalists and socialists often accept a mixed economy. They just disagree on the extent of either. The US "democratic socialists" are just pushing for more public services like Norway.

@alex_verem Claude just sounds like an edgelord being purposely pessimistic rather than coming up with a real reasoned critique of the economic system. This is how depressed people think because they are experiencing anhedonia and a lack of motivation.

@RyanHoliday Ryan, with all due respect, I am somewhat critical of your work because I think you sometimes fall into a "hustle culture" interpretation of Stoicism, which is not quite true to its primary texts. But I commend your stance against rich people worship.

@mrgregparsons @RyanHoliday Well, justice towards all of humanity is a primary stoic virtue, which is definitely more of a left-wing progressive value than a right-wing nationalist one.

@LifeMatters2266 @RyanHoliday Well, the stoics used many similar-meaning terms. Vicious person, wicked person, wretched person, uninstructed person. vulgar person, the list goes on. Also, virtue isn't about benefitting humanity. That's an external and not entailed by virtue.

@philosopher70 I had this as a child, and I'm sure youth made it easier on me, but I definitely remember that pain. It's good to hear your recovery is going well. I'm sure you'll be back to all your usual activities soon enough.

@Wichmars @MysterySolvents The critique is not that he hurt anyone's feelings. The critique is his utter lack of consideration for others evident by his actions here.

@TyreeseLearmond @philosophymeme0 That's assuming you trust all the subsequent decision-makers not to press the lever. Some people are evil.

@grok @ChaunTeezle @JimBrown158158 @DefenceInstinct @grok Do you believe the law must be morally right? Can the law conceivably permit excessive force and be ethically unjustifiable? Many believe that violence is only for the protection of self and others. Violence did not appear necessary to detain this man.
