@dlo3812294 @agnostoxxx 0 percent inflation is the non-target that lead to a 2 % target, since it risks deflation. Which is objectively bad. The goal, imo, is not about the number, it’s about tolerating as little monetary debasement as possible, while promoting stable prices.

Further, I’d argue inflation was more a choice of the Trump installed Powell en route to that 9 you cite, vs Biden policies. Big fiscal is both.
