The 10-year Treasury note yield is one basis point away from a ‘death cross’ — 50-day m.a. moving below the 200-day! Very bond bullish. Buy, Mortimer!!

So far at least, 2024 and the Magnificent Seven aren't playing so nicely together. (h/t @KoyfinCharts)

Of course there are risks to investing in #China but those risks are well known and well discounted. China now sells at the cheapest valuation EVER relative to global #equities. 50% discount to global equities.

In the last 30 hours, college basketball’s No. 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 11, 17, 18, and 21 teams have gone down. All of ‘em to unranked teams.

1/2 This chart is really popular to explain why inflation is collapsing and will continue to collapse. It shows M2 money on a year-over-basis is contracting by the most since the 1930s.

The Magnificent 7 have a higher weighting in the MSCI World Index than all of the stocks in the UK, China, France and Japan combined.

It seems like Jamari McDowell makes 1-2 plays every game that make me so excited about his future as a Jayhawk. As a Freshman, he is definitely NOT afraid to get out there and make an impact in big games.

Let me know how the ‘sticky’ inflation narrative is working out, when median new home prices in October sunk a record -18% YoY, taking out the worst point (-15%) we saw in the Great Recession.

The disinflationary trend in the official CPI data is evident and set to continue. Commodities have been big underperformers among different asset classes during past deflationary cycles. Would this time be different? web.rosenbergresearch.com/TWTrialRequest #RosenbergResearch

Just about everyone (including at the Federal Reserve) was surprised by inflation. You know why? Because they didn’t pay attention to M2! They still aren’t, and I believe that the decline in M2 is going to cause a recession that surprises just about everyone.

The NAHB index and its various components sagged so badly in November that they are foreshadowing a near-20% pullback in new home sales and single-family starts over the next six months. In two words or less: buy bonds!

Mortgage demand is now at its lowest level since 1995 and still falling SHARPLY. To put this in perspective, mortgage demand in 2005 was ~300% above current levels. Since 2021, mortgage demand is down a massive 60%. Meanwhile, existing home sales are down 16% this year, their lowest since 2010. No one wants to sell and no one wants to buy. Truly historic times.

You can't make this up: The S&P 7, a handful of technology stocks, is now up an incredible 58% this year. Meanwhile, the remaining S&P 493 is up just 4%. AI hype and technology stocks are literally holding up the entire market. Markets really believe AI is the next big thing.

Who knew the Treasury market of all asset classes would disapprove of the 3rd most intense inflation decline from a peak in the past 7 decades. In just 11 months, the inflation rate plunged -510 basis points to 4% on the nose (+3.2% on a 6mo. basis and +2.2% over the past 3mo.).
