Imagine if 85% of Americans demanded they get their teeth cleaned by a dental clinic from January to April 15th every year and they refused to wait any longer.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like the hype that AI will replace accountants is the same as the crypto bro’s saying crypto will replace the centralized banking system.
The “new” W4 & related withholding tables are a mess for married taxpayers. Client: why do we owe so much? All our income on the personal was W2 this year and rental. (Rental = net of 0) Me: your withholding on the wages was 11%, but your effective rate is 16% W4 caused this!
@andreamacdcpa We really need to educate the AICPA. They should be leading the charge...

@B_ReinsbergCPA @MikeSyl36625988 Yeah, I agree. I've seen the partial work up which serves a great purpose, but it's definitely a drain on staff (esp who don't understand the service side). I remember just wanting to be done with long hours by April and blanket extend everyone! 😂
@B_ReinsbergCPA We have new client minimums as well. We track time spent on each clients work. Clients with unbilled time have their price increased the most.

@jehendricks @MikeSyl36625988 @andreacpa0 Look at it this way. One more month means no working on Saturdays. Moving the due date has to happen. Tax season is really 45 days as it is now.
@Tax__Tweets I’d say it’s more like 4 weeks for that group of taxpayers. K-1s show up with barely 2 weeks remaining in the regular and extended filing season. The business due date is WAY too close to the individual due date.
@B_ReinsbergCPA Yup. And if the bottom line is over $50k, they'll owe FL corporate tax as well.
@B_ReinsbergCPA You have to check the other states to see if they are going to follow the IRS relief. There's no "one size fits all" rule to work with here.
