@CreateQuietude My loving and caring wife, with her endless patience, knows when to stay away, and when it’s time to reunite. Our communication is great, we talk a lot when I’m up, and the bare minimum when I’m down and angry. My manic episodes are mostly negative, so we sleep in different rooms
@CreateQuietude I wish I could give you a better answer, but I don’t think I had any thoughts or expectations. I just know I fell in love instantly, and that I still love her, and that I always will. Imo she drew the short stick, but I was really clear about my mental status, and still we are 1
@CreateQuietude I had got my diagnosis about a year before I met my wife. The first i met her I said ‘I love you’ and then listed all my flaws. We are married since 10 years now. Separate bedrooms is one part of our solution, and her godlike patience.

Today I took my first steps into the outside world, beyond the psych ward, in 50 days (almost 7 weeks), & was reunited with my (overjoyed) dog. A first on a long, long journey to recovery. Thank you all for supporting me documenting my journey, it’s given me immense strength.

It's great advice to tell people to rest, and equally important to understand that a nervous system within survival mode can't rest. Tired and wired is the natural state, and rest time can actually feel uncomfortable to the body.
