Looking at the 2022 draft and realizing KC could have gone:
Hurts my heart a little as Watson and Williams look good and we’re my predraft favorites.
@Greggyj11 @meltedforks @chuck_dc @LanceTHESPOKEN It's a fair point. Burrow is:
0-4 against the Browns.
0-2 against the Chargers.
0-1 against the Colts, Commanders, Bears, Packers, 49ers, Cowboys
0-0-1 vs the Eagles.
Lots of possible fathers out there.
@LanceTHESPOKEN I think legitimately he didn't have one reception that he didn't push off the DB yesterday. Can't think of literally a single one.
@fredpliers @kent_swanson The Pickens thing hurts, b/c he was there at Round 2 for us to pick. I still think the real miss, and Green Bay is starting to show everyone was Christian Watson. 313 yards & 7 TDs in his last 4 games. I was driving the bandwagon for that kid from December until the draft.
@fredpliers @kent_swanson I'll give you Pacheco as well. I know I'm biased b/c I was 100% out on Karlaftis before the draft started, but he hasn't done anything to change that opinion. Moore is genuinely a question mark. I'm not sure we know much yet. He has potential though.
Most pressures allowed this season by an OT per PFF:
1. Orlando Brown Jr. - 39
2. Andrew Wylie - 37
@kent_swanson CB they absolutely nailed in this past draft. All the other picks I think are giant question marks at this point.
@MitchSchwartz71 Karlaftis looks to be in the right spot and then when the ball is thrown jumps away from the ball.
@THESPOKENpod @LanceTHESPOKEN Bills have three hard games left. They lost to Jets/Dolphins already this year and then the Bengals are left.
Chiefs will have to win out and that Raider game end of year could get awfully chippy.
@ChiefsRoyalsFan @MattVerderame I'm more arguing the defensive call than Cook doing a job. I just don't see why we'd play cover man on short stuff when we need to guard the first down line.
@joshua38682581 @MattVerderame I get that... but I also know we are guarding the first down line in that position. So sit back while your guy is 3-4 yards downfield and discourage the one spot Burrow had thrown literally all game.
@RealBirdLawyer I literally have no idea what his sentence says. Now I’m mad over a loss and feel old.
@Matty_KCSN I mean this sort of is his average display though.
@MattVerderame Burrow threw over the middle so much, just amazes me with the game on the line and three safeties in that one isn’t dead middle of the field 12 yards back.
@MattVerderame Honestly it looks like Cook is just too far up. If he plays back the ball at worst gets checked down.
@chuck_dc Yeah, there were two defenders maybe 6-7 yards deep in that side, but he probably also at least get 2 yards. Mahomes honestly looked tonight like he learned nothing from last year.
@chuck_dc They needed to play for a TD AND to wear clock. Running on 3rd and 3 accomplishes both.
Andy needs a 12 year old who plays Madden on the sideline.
@chuck_dc But here is the thing. On 3rd and 3, you should have ALREADY decided to play for the win, and run the football. Worst case it’s likely 4th and short and you wear off 45 more seconds you give Burrow for a comeback. Then Mahomes also isn’t limping.
Justin Reid talked a lot for a guy that did literally nothing tonight
@chuck_dc Not saying it isn’t. Just saying he wasn’t “fighting” 3 guys to get 1 yard.
We still had an opportunity to win and Andy played to tie and watch Burrow with 3 minutes. It was a losing mentality.
I’m honestly most mad at our 3rd and 3 play call. You know the clock situation. Run and even if you don’t get 3 you setup 4th and short. You had to run clock and get up 4.
I know people will blame the Kelce fumble, but I legit believe Cincy held him up by the ball and he couldn’t get down.
If the Chiefs could tackle or guard a RB this game would be well in hand.
@MitchSchwartz71 I agree with you, but I just don’t get dropping 7 and yet you just don’t cover a guy at all. Burrow is too accurate.
