CVSAR were activated twice yesterday: 1. to assist BCAS and RCMP with the rescue of a man with life-threatening injuries after a 200' fall into the Trent River Canyon. 2. to rescue two climbers stranded on Mt. Albert Edward.
On Friday the team was called out on two back to back tasks. The first was to assist Campbell River SAR with a swiftwater search on the Campbell River. The second, BCEHS requested CVSAR to conduct a medical rescue of an injured mountain biker on the Cumberland bike trails.

ASAR was called out last night for a Iphone crash alert in Mosaic’s Northwest Bay Division. There was deep snow and freezing temperatures to contend with but the SAR teams were able find two subjects with a 4X4 vehicle that had rolled on its side #searchandrescue #winterrescue

Comox SAR personnel have been deployed to Haida Gwai this morning with Command Staff and search personnel to assist Archipelago SAR in the search for a missing mushroom picker. CVSAR will be joined by members from, Terrace and Prince Rupert SAR teams.
