@PhysioMeScience With the added caveat that the effect size on pain from exercise wasn’t outstanding and that “sham” (albeit hard to define non-specific exercises as sham) had similar outcomes to specific tendon targeted exercises. Patient expectations and beliefs play a significant role.

New study finds evidence for neuroinflammation in the periphery of individuals after WHIPLASH. Very well conducted study! Sample size ✅ control group ✅ Sig. findings on MRI ✅ Sig. findings on blood tests ✅ Sig. findings on QST ✅ Seriously, the notions of “brain derived pain” without nociceptive input pain are just plain nonsense and not sustainable anymore.
