Is it just me or is it weird to hang out with a friend for several hours & they don’t ask you a single question? About yourself, how you are, what’s going on in your life? Literally nothing. Why be friends with someone if you have no curiosity about their life or wellbeing?

Things that shock trauma survivors as they experience/feel them the 1st time: 😌true calm & relaxation 🧠clarity in the mind ❤️feeling authentic love in all its glory 😍that moment self compassion hits you ⏰getting through the 1st hour of your day w/o leaving something behind
having an iced coffee and then immediately following it with a hot coffee. you'd get weird looks in Starbucks but in my own kitchen i can do whatever i want. might drink the coffee syrup straight from the bottle next

A child can't develop healthy self-esteem when they are constantly put down & belittled by their own parent. When they are mocked for wanting to do anything. When they are told they are entirely incapable, that they will never succeed & so they shouldn't even bother trying.
I've been vacant here and I apologise! I wish I'd been more active to support my wonderful phone friends. However, I feel triumph. I faced a possible turn to another major depressive episode but bipolar did not win this time! I made it out the other side after just a small blip!
In trauma recovery, things shifted when I learned to go inward & learn about the parts of me that show up when I'm scared, angry, lonely, or dismissed. I learned to check in on these parts & understand their needs. In trauma recovery, asking, not pushing, makes the difference.

Evidence of the disease was clear, for decades, and it was dismissed I’m on the road to recovery, but it’s taking a long time for my body to heal I’m thankful that the anemia looks to have been cured, as well as the monthly excruciating pain Scores, for hysterectomy success
If my gynes took me, my symptoms, my suffering more seriously, I could have been treated much sooner, wouldn’t have had all that loss of enjoyment of life, anemia, pelvic organ dysfunction, and related emotional burdens
April is Adenomyosis Awareness month Since my surgery and biopsy of the uterus, it was discovered that I have/had adenomyosis — thickening of the uterine wall due to endometrial-lining like cells growing in uterine walls
