Headline numbers about one guy worth $1 trillion sound wild, but almost all of that is just stock market paper value. Meanwhile, regular working folks are trying to figure out how to stretch one paycheck to cover rent and groceries. Does seeing trillion-dollar stock headlines make you feel like this economy is working for normal people?

BREAKING: Elon Musk is once again a trillionaire.

When oil shipping costs jump 300% in two months, oil companies aren't going to take the loss—they're going to pass every single penny down to the gas pump and the grocery store. Have you noticed gas prices or utility bills creeping back up in your town lately?

The physical crude oil market is out of control. The cost to ship 2 million barrels of crude oil from West Africa to China is now up to $27.22/barrel. To put this into perspective, in July, the cost for the same shipment ~$6.50/barrel. That's a +319% surge in shipping costs in

@WhiteHouse Congressional leaders can pass all the press release tax bills they want, but if your weekly paycheck buys less food than it did three years ago, it isn't relief.

Republicans and Democrats will argue about ideological labels all day while everyday workers get crushed by 20% grocery inflation and 7% mortgage rates. ⠀ When White House staffers start posting doom-and-gloom graphics instead of addressing real-world living costs, you know they've completely run out of solutions for working families.

When Wall Street celebrates stock market records, they ignore what high yields actually mean for normal people: higher interest rates on car loans, credit cards, and mortgages. Has a good day on the stock market ever made your monthly loan payments any cheaper?

New 24-year high for the 10Y Note Yield and the S&P 500 is up another +50 points today. This puts the S&P 500 less 0.5% away from a new record high. Meanwhile, the most common question right now is: "How is the S&P 500 nearing record highs with surging yields?" When you zoom

Top line: Real estate stocks hit historic lows against the stock market. ⠀ Bottom line: Rent is up 30%, mortgage rates sit near 7%, and a starter home costs twice what it did five years ago. ⠀ Wall Street traders might be losing money on real estate stocks, but working families are still getting squeezed on real-world housing costs every single month.

@unusual_whales A $1 trillion net worth on paper proves how completely disconnected stock market math is from real life. ⠀ One guy gains tens of billions in stock value overnight while millions of people working 40 hours a week can't even save $1,000 for an emergency.

A 300% jump in oil shipping costs is Wall Street math that turns into real-life pain at the pump. ⠀ When it costs four times as much to move crude oil around the world, regular working families end up paying for it every time they fill up their gas tank or pay their electric bill.

@Jkurt98 @CBSNews @JanCBS Yep! And I am for it!

Washington officials love bragging about how much money giant corporations make, but big company profits don't pay your electric bill. Having the world's most valuable companies means nothing if regular workers are still living paycheck to paycheck. Does national economic growth actually feel real in your monthly budget right now?

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent @SecScottBessent

Under @POTUS, the United States is showing the world what real economic growth looks like. With just around 4% of the world’s population, we produce 26% of global nominal GDP. Our firms lead the G20 in productivity. And more than 60 of the world’s 100 most valuable companies are

@KobeissiLetter Wall Street looks at stock charts and calls it a boom, but regular workers look at borrowing costs and call it a squeeze. ⠀ When interest rates hit 24-year highs, record-high stock prices just prove that market gains have completely disconnected from a working family's budget.

@SecScottBessent @POTUS Politicians brag about 26% of global wealth, but they leave out where all that cash actually sits. ⠀ A handful of mega-corporations making record profits doesn't fix high rent, expensive groceries, or flat paychecks for the people doing the work.

@RobertC43556505 @unusual_whales You are right, but both points are part of the same problem.

@unusual_whales Both parties love promising free cash or tax cuts whenever they need your vote. ⠀ A $5,000 check doesn't lower the price of rent, car insurance, or groceries. Working families don't need election-year gimmicks—we need everyday living costs to come back down to earth.

@HouseGOP Both parties in Washington dump trillions onto the debt every year, then hand working families a fake receipt blaming the other side. ⠀ Regular workers don't care about political name-calling—we care about why rent, groceries, and doctor visits take up most of our check.

@PeterSchiff When a monthly mortgage payment takes up more than half a worker's check, the math just doesn't work. Until prices come back down to reality, regular families are stuck paying sky-high rent and construction workers are left worrying about their jobs.

A $60 trillion stock market boom keeps luxury spending hot, but it doesn't put a single extra dollar into a regular paycheck. ⠀ When 90% of stock wealth belongs to the top 10%, relying on asset bubbles to drive the economy leaves everyday workers paying high prices without seeing any of the gains.

@unusual_whales When Treasury yields hit multi-decade highs, mortgage rates follow right behind them—making homeownership more expensive than at any point in a generation while wages struggle to keep pace.

Politicians love blaming overseas wars or state regulations for high gas prices, but regular drivers just see the total on the pump screen. When refining capacity stays choked and gas sits well over $4.00 a gallon, just commuting to work takes a massive bite out of your paycheck. How much are you paying for a gallon of gas in your town right now?

BREAKING: President Trump says gasoline prices are no longer being driven higher by disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, but rather by Russian refineries being blown up by Ukraine.

Whether it’s foreign drone strikes or state policies shutting down refineries, the result for regular working people is the exact same: another $70+ every time you fill up the tank. When getting to work costs 10% of your weekly check, political finger-pointing doesn't pay the bill at the pump.
